DD Palmer in office.jpg

Chiropractic is a healing profession founded by DD Palmer. DD Palmer was a magnetic healer. DD Palmer preformed the first chiropractic adjustment on September 18, 1895 on Harvey Lillard, curing him of his deafness that he had suffered from for 17 years.

DD Palmer created the term "chiropractic", which means "done by hand" to refer to his new profession. DD Palmer argued that all disease was caused by subluxated bones, 95% spinal bones, which caused disruption of the flow of innate intelligence throughout the body.

Family Chiropractic Care was founded by Dr. Tanya Holt in 1993 with the help of her husband Dr. Randy Holt, who now practices in Searcy. From the beginning our office has been focused on creating a welcoming and family friendly environment. Most recently, in 2019 we have welcomed Dr. Katelyn Holt, daughter of Drs. Randy and Tanya Holt, into our practice. Our family has a passion for serving others and restoring proper health and healing. We are honored to serve you in any way we can!

A subluxation is a minor displacement in the alignment of your spine or extremities. This misalignment or subluxation then causes irritation and interference in the function and communication of your brain and body.  This irritation and interference then can cause a variety of pain and symptoms including, but not limited to, pain and decreased range of motion. We, as chiropractors, work to restore the body to proper function through the removal of subluxations with gentle chiropractic adjustments.
